Update to earlier structure fire

Structure Fire – Mount Edward Rd, Dartmouth
At 08:52 AM, #hfxfirefighters responded to reports of a structure fire on Mount Edward Road in Dartmouth.
Our members from nearby Station 18 (Westphal) arrived to heavy fire on the rear of a residence, extending into the roof and structure.
Crews deployed multiple hose lines to contain the fire, limit extension, and protect the remainder of the home.
The incident escalated to a second alarm to support a coordinated, sustained fire attack.
