The cause of the fire will be investigated.

At 1:33pm today, crews from station 13, 14, 15 and 17 responded to a fire on a veranda at a residence off Highway 7
Thanks to a fast response, Fire Fighters were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire
All occupants safely evacuated the home and no injuries have been reported
Crews remain on scene for overhaul and investigation
