UPDATE via Halifax Professional Firefighters
At 11:23am, #hfxfirefighters responded to a second-alarm high-rise fire on South Park Street.
Our members from Station 2 (South End) were on scene within minutes, quickly advancing to the fire floor and getting water on the fire in approximately 10 minutes. Their fast, coordinated attack was instrumental in bringing the fire under control and preventing further extension.
This incident required a significant response from across the municipality, with crews from multiple stations working together seamlessly to protect lives and property.
Our members remain on scene completing overhaul operations.

- Structure fire in Halifax
Crews are on scene of a structure fire in the 1400 block of South Park St. Significant damage can be seen on a exterior wall as fire crews check for hotspots and continue to apply water.
South Park is closed at Spring Garden Rd. The cause of the fire will be investigated.
