Update - Patrols conducted on the ground and in the air found no evidence of a plane crash or need for emergency response in Queens County.
At approximately 1:15 p.m., Queens District RCMP received several calls about emergency flares observed near Mill Village. One caller reported they had observed a plane in distress in addition to the flares.
JRCC deployed two planes, a CH149 Cormorant and a CC295 King Fisher, as part of the search. Queens District RCMP officers conducted patrols on the ground through rural areas and worked with remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) operators to assess their use as part of the search.
