Police Investigate a Weapons Call - Dartmouth
**** HRP Media Release Police Investigate a Weapons Call - Dartmouth At 10:13 p.m. on the 30th of May, Halifax Regional Police responded to a disturbance inside the hallway of an apartment building in the 0-50 block of Primrose Street Dartmouth.​ Patrol officers located three adults (two males and one female) in the hallway in physical altercation.​ ​ ​ ​ Officers arrested both males (both are 45 years old) at the scene for weapons offences.​ The two males each used a weapon during the physical altercation.​ ​ The first male used a large flashlight and the second male used a hatchet (small axe).​ Officers confirmed all three adults are known to each and a heated argument began in the hallway, which quickly turned violent.​ All three adults sustained minor non-life-threatening injuries. All involved were treated by Emergency Health Services Paramedics. This afternoon investigators with Patrol and the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division executed a search Warrant for an apartment in the building.​ Police are no longer on site.​ ​ ​ Both male Suspects were released on an Undertaking with conditions and a Dartmouth Court date.​ The two suspects are facing the following Criminal Code charges:
  • Suspect #1 – Assault with a Weapon (flashlight).
  • Suspect #2 – Assault with a Weapons (hatchet), Assault Causing Bodily Harm, and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
