One man is in custody following a weapons call in Bedford

**** HRP Media Release Police Investigate Weapons Call One man is in custody following a weapons call in Bedford earlier today. On February 16, 2020 at 9:43 a.m., Police responded to a report of a man​ in possession of​ a firearm inside a residence in the 600 block of Rocky Lake Dr. in Bedford.​ Officers blocked traffic on Rocky Lake Dr. and were in the process of​ advising nearby residences when the man exited the residence unarmed​ and was taken into custody without incident. The 39-year-old man was​ wanted on an unrelated warrant and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court​ Tuesday morning in relation to the warrant. Officers remain​ on scene on​ Rocky Lake Dr. to continue the investigation. Rocky Lake Dr. was closed to traffic for the duration of this incident but has since re-opened to all traffic.
