**** Via Halifax Professional Firefighters Early this morning at 2:37 AM, #hfxfirefighters responded to reports of a garage on fire on St. Andrews Avenue in Halifax. Our members from Station 5 (West End), located just 1.2 km away, arrived within minutes to find a detached garage with fire showing from the rear of the structure. A hose line was quickly deployed, stopping the fire as it began spreading into the attic.
