At 5:48 PM, #hfxfirefighters responded to a house fire on Cobequid Road in Lower Sackville. Our members from Station 9 (Lower Sackville) arrived to find heavy fire conditions with flames extending from the deck into the house and beginning to spread into nearby trees.
The situation has since been brought under control. The home sustained significant damage, but quick action by fire fighters prevented further spread into the woods.
