(Update) Advisory - Emergency crews are investigating smoke in the woods on Pipeline Rd at Head of St Margarets Bay

**** Via HfxAlerts HRFE and NS DNR are on scene at a forest fire on Pipeline Rd in Head of St Margaret Bay, in the vicinity of the south end of Big Indian Lake. A NS DNR helicopter and ground crews are at the site and efforts are currently holding the fire. There are no threat to residents or structures at this time. More information will be provided as it becomes available. - Update via Halifax Professional Firefighters Active Wildfire – Big Indian Lake, Tantallon Halifax Professional Fire Fighters are currently on scene alongside the Department of Natural Resources responding to a working wildfire in the area of Big Indian Lake in Tantallon. We’re asking the public to exercise caution in the area and avoid any unnecessary travel nearby to allow emergency crews to work safely and efficiently.
