**** RCMP Release Update: Jason Sterling Carpenter wanted on province-wide warrant, has been arrested Jason Sterling Carpenter, wanted on a province-wide warrant, has been arrested. The Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit (PCISCEU), with the assistance of Pictou County District RCMP, RCMP Police Dog Service, New Glasgow Regional Police and Stellarton Police Service, made the arrest in New Glasgow. The 46-year-old man from MacLellans Brook is facing multiple charges stemming from an investigation into impaired operation of a conveyance that occurred on November 9. The charges include: Assaulting Peace Officer with Weapon (two counts) Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Causing Bodily Harm Unauthorized Possession of Firearm Failure to Comply with Release Order (seven counts) The RCMP thanks members of the public for their support in locating Carpenter. Jason Carpenter wanted on province-wide arrest warrant

Pictou County District RCMP is seeking information on the whereabouts of Jason Sterling Carpenter, currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.

Carpenter, 46, from MacLellans Brook, is charged with more than twenty offences stemming from an investigation into impaired operation of a conveyance that occurred on November 9.

Charges include:

  • Assaulting Peace Officer with Weapon (two counts)
  • Impaired Operation of a Conveyance Causing Bodily Harm
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Failure to Comply with Release Order (seven counts)

Carpenter is described as approximately 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. As of November 9, he did not have a beard. He may be driving a red, older model GMC Sierra extended cab pick-up truck.

Police have made several attempts to locate Carpenter and are requesting assistance from the public.
