**** Truro Police Release
The Truro Police Service has been receiving complaints of a group of individuals going around and stealing people’s wallets and using their debit/credit cards
They appear to be targeting elderly people by distracting the victim by asking them questions in broken English looking for directions.
When the victim is distracted, another accomplice steals their wallet.
They then quickly use all the cards by maxing out the tap feature buying visa gift cars among other items.
Please be vigilant and cautious when unknown people approach you and try to distract you.
