Colchester County District RCMP seizes firearms, drugs during search warrant execution
Colchester Country District RCMP has charged three people following the execution of a search warrant at a home in Millbrook.
On June 24, the Colchester Community Action Team, with assistance from Millbrook RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team and Critical Incident Program, executed a search warrant at a residence on Truro Heights Rd. Three people were safely arrested at the property.
As a result of the search, officers seized two rifles, a sawed-off shotgun, and quantities of Oxycodone and other unidentified pills.
Tyler Blair Blenkhorn, 28, of Colchester, Tia Lynn Googoo, 27, of Millbrook, and Lewis Miller McNutt, 30, of Debert, have been charged with:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Restricted Firearm/Prohibited Weapon with Ammunition without Licence/Registration
- Unsafe Storage of Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
McNutt and Googoo were released on conditions. Blenkhorn was held in custody and later released by the court. All are due to reappear in Truro Provincial Court on August 27.

-Search warrant execution leads to seizure of 40,000 unstamped cigarettes
Meteghan RCMP Detachment has charged a man with several offences under the Criminal Code, Excise Act, and Nova Scotia Revenue Act after executing a search warrant and seizing unstamped tobacco products.
On June 24, officers attended a residence on Maza Rd., Bangor, to execute a search warrant. A man was safely arrested. During the search, officers located and seized over two hundred cartons of unstamped tobacco. Investigators established that the cartons contained approximately forty thousand cigarettes. Police also seized a quantity of cash and items that support possession for the purposes of selling.
Troy Deveau, 48, of Bangor, faces charges of Selling of Tobacco Products and Raw Leaf Tobacco (Criminal Code), Unlawful Possession of Unstamped Tobacco Products (Excise Act), Possession of Tobacco on which Tax had not been Paid (Nova Scotia Revenue Act), and Possession of Tobacco Not Bearing Prescribed Markings (Nova Scotia Revenue Act). He was released by police and his first court appearance is scheduled for August 14 at Digby Provincial Court.
Meteghan RCMP continues to lead the ongoing investigation, with support from Digby RCMP Detachment during the search warrant execution.
