Thanks to having 4 career fire fighters in the station Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5:30 PM, our members were ready to respond.
Given current weather conditions, additional units were dispatched from Westphal to Musquodoboit Harbour. When our members arrived, the fire was spreading quickly with homes nearby. Fire hose was quickly deployed, and the situation was brought under control before it could escalate into a larger wildfire.
