At 3:10 AM, #hfxfirefighters responded to an alarm activation on Duke Street in downtown Halifax. Upon arrival, our members found a heavy smoke condition and immediately upgraded the call to a structure fire.
While searching the building, crews discovered an unconscious victim. They were quickly rescued and treated by fire fighters on scene until paramedics arrived.
The fire was brought under control shortly afterward.
