Truro Police Service Patrol officers responded to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre for a report of an assault

**** Truro Police Release On Tuesday, May 6, at approximately 1:30 pm, Truro Police Service Patrol officers responded to the Colchester East Hants Health Centre for a report of an assault. Officers arrived on scene and discovered that two hospital security guards had been seriously injured when a person visiting the hospital assaulted them. The suspect, a 16-year-old male, was arrested at the scene and is facing numerous charges, including assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. The security guards suffered serious injuries which required medical treatment. The youth was remanded into custody and will appear in Truro Provincial Court today. The youth cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
