Police investigate a robbery
On May 3, at approximately 8:20 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at a business located on Spring Garden Road in Halifax. Staff reported that a man threatened them with a knife and demanded money. Staff were not physically injured and the suspect fled on foot with a quantity of money. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as approximately 5’7” tall, with a heavy build and between 60 to 65-years old. At the time of the incident, the suspect had a full white beard and was wearing a black zip up jacket, army grey track suit, with a black stripe down the side of the pants, a camo green ball cap, black shoes, bright orange gloves and sunglasses.

Police investigate break and enter
On May 3, at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers responded to Rockingham Elementary School located at 31 Tremont Drive in Bedford for a premises alarm call. On scene, officers located and arrested six people without incident, all of whom had unlawfully entered the school.
Five youths, aged 16 to 17-years-old are scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial youth court at a later date to face charges of:
- Mischief over $5000.00
- Theft under $5000.00
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00
- Break and enter with intent to commit
An 18-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face charges of:
- Mischief over $5000.00
- Theft under $5000.00
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00
- Break and enter with intent to commit

Man arrested for numerous outstanding warrants
On May 3, at approximately 6:55 a.m., officers responded to an unwanted person complaint at a residence in the 6200 block of Allen Street in Halifax. At approximately 7:30 a.m., officers located and arrested the suspect who was known to police for having numerous outstanding warrants and files for his arrest.
Kyle Joshua Reddick, 39, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of misleading police by diverting suspicion, three counts of obstructing/resisting police and additional charges related to pre-existing arrestable files.
