**** New Glasgow Police Release Police presence on MacKay Street New Glasgow due to on ongoing police investigation Police are on scene and have a residence on MacKay Street apartment contained. The public has been asked to stay away as officers will continue to investigate. Due to close proximity of the New Glasgow Academy on Albert Street the school has gone into a Hold and Secure until further notice for extra safety. Police are currently on scene on MacKay Street as there is curently no threat to the immediate area. Police will update as situation changes.
