Update - Police investigate suspicious package
Police have concluded their investigation of a suspicious package in downtown Halifax.
At approximately 8:25 a.m. officers responded to a report of a suspicious package in the 1700 block of Hollis Street. Members of the Forensic Identification Section attended and determined the package was not a threat to the public.
All streets in the area have been reopened to traffic. We thank the public for their patience and cooperation.
