Woman sprayed with bear spray during disturbance in Dartmouth

**** HRP Media Release On July 4^th, 2020 at 7:00pm Halifax Regional Police responded to a physical disturbance in the 30-40 block of Joseph Young St in Dartmouth.​ Upon arrival a group of approximate 20 people began to disburse.​ During the disturbance a 34 year old woman was sprayed with bear spray.​ A 27 year old woman was arrested at the scene and will face charges of assault with a weapon and possession of​ weapon for a dangerous purpose.​ This woman will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on October 27, 2020 at 930am.​ Both women were known to one another and the 34 year old woman was treated by EHS at the scene and released.
