Assault with a weapon
Members of the Patrol Division and General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are investigating an assault with a weapon that occurred this morning in Halifax.
At approximately
12:45 a.m. police responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of Sylvia Ave/ Herring Cove Rd., Halifax.
Patrol members located a single victim who had been stabbed.
The victim was transported to hospital with what are believed to be serious injuries.
Police remain on scene in the area. Investigators do not believe that this is a random incident.
This matter is in the early stages of the investigation and limited details are available at this time.
