Police lay drug trafficking charges
Police have charged a man and a woman following a search in Dartmouth last week.
On September 11 at approximately 4:15 p.m., police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Yorkshire Avenue in Dartmouth in relation to a drug investigation. Investigators located and seized a quantity of drugs, money and stolen property. A man and woman were arrested without incident.
On September 13 at approximately 9:10 a.m., investigators executed a second search warrant at a storage locker in the 400 block of Windmill Road in Dartmouth. Investigators located and seized a firearm.
A 43-year-old man is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face charges of:
- Possession for purpose of trafficking (x2)
- Possession of prohibited weapon (x2)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00
A 37-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face charges of:
- Possession for purpose of trafficking (x2)
- Possession of prohibited weapon (x2)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00
The investigation is ongoing.

-Police charge man for publication of intimate image
Police have charged a Halifax man for publishing an intimate image of another person without their consent.
In July 2025, it was reported to police that Frank Magazine published an intimate image online of another person without their consent. On September 9, after a thorough investigation, police arrested Frank Magazine’s managing editor without incident.
Andrew Douglas, 47, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face the charge of sharing an intimate image without consent contrary to Section 162.1 of the Criminal Code.
The Criminal Code of Canada prohibits sharing intimate images of another person, including photos and videos, where there is a reasonable expectation of privacy.
