Police investigate robbery
On September 4 at approximately 6:40 p.m., police received a report of a robbery at Sobeys, located at 6990 Mumford Road. It was reported that a man entered the store, approached staff at a checkout lane, assaulted them and stole a quantity of money. The suspect then threatened security with a hammer and fled on a bicycle with the money. There were no reports of physical injuries. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was described as a white man, approximately 5’8” with a slim build. He was wearing a grey hoodie, grey pants, black sneakers, a medical mask, sunglasses and grey and black gloves.
The investigation is ongoing.

Police charge serial shoplifter
On September 4 at approximately 7:30 p.m., police received a report of a theft at Lululemon, located at 5445 Spring Garden Road in Halifax. Responding officers located and arrested one man on scene without incident. The man was also the suspect in multiple other thefts at Lululemon over the last 12 months.
Timothy Decaire, 46, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:
- Theft under $5000.00 (x10)
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00 (x10)
- Fail to comply with probation order (x10)
The investigation is ongoing.

Police lay charges in break and enter
On September 6 at approximately 4:15 a.m., police received a report of a break and enter in progress at Bayside Distribution, located at 115 Chain Lake Drive in Halifax. It was reported that two men entered the business through a fence and were attempting to get into shipping containers. Both suspects were arrested on scene without incident.
The two men, ages 34 and 40, are both scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face one count each of break and enter and mischief.
