Police lay weapon charges
Police have charged a man following a weapons incident in Halifax yesterday.
On August 31 at approximately 4 p.m., police received a report of a weapons incident that occurred in the 5500 block of Cogswell Street in Halifax. It was reported that a man had threatened another man with a firearm. Upon arrival, officers located and arrested the suspect in the area without incident. There were no reported physical injuries. During the investigation, officers located and seized a replica BB handgun.
Brad Mullen, 43, is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today to face charges of:
- Assault with a weapon
- Careless use of firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possess weapon dangerous to public peace
- Carry concealed weapon
- Breach of undertaking
Police charge prolific graffiti tagger
Police have a charged a man in relation to multiple graffiti incidents that have occurred throughout Halifax Regional Municipality.
On August 28, members of the HRP Quick Response Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Halifax, in relation to multiple graffiti incidents that occurred primarily throughout Halifax. On August 31, investigators arrested an 18-year-old man without incident. Some offences occurred while the suspect was a minor protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, therefore no further details will be released.
The man is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date to face 54 counts of mischief under $5000.00.
The investigation is ongoing and Halifax Regional Police would like to thank members of the public for their cooperation.

Annapolis District RCMP is seeking information from the public in relation to a shooting.
On August 27, at approximately 7:50 a.m., Kings District RCMP responded to a report that a 36-year-old man was the victim of a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man reported that he had been shot in Middleton.
Investigators do not believe the shooting was random.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by the Annapolis District RCMP General Investigation Section.

-Southwest Nova Street Crime Enforcement Unit charges two people for drug trafficking
The Southwest Nova Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SWN SCEU) has charged two Lunenburg County residents with drug-related offences.
On August 31, as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, SWN SCEU executed a search warrant at a residence on Northfield Rd. in Watford.
During the search, officers seized quantities of cocaine, hydromorphone, unstamped tobacco, cellular phones, and cash.
Kelsey Ann Eisnor, 56, and Stephen Glenwood Charles Jodrey, 43, both of Watford, have been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (hydromorphone)
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possess Tobacco in Contravention of the Excise Act
- Possess Unstamped Tobacco for the Purpose of Trafficking
Eisnor and Jodrey were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on October 28.
