Colchester County District RCMP responds to fatal fire in Onslow Mountain
Colchester County District RCMP responded to a fatal residential fire in Onslow Mountain.
On August 29 at approximately 12:40 p.m., RCMP officers and other first responders attended a fire at a property on Branch Rd. On arrival, officers found the home fully engulfed in flames and learned that a man was believed to be inside.
After the fire was extinguished, the remains of a man were located.
Investigators from the Nova Scotia Office of the Fire Marshal and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service are involved in the ongoing investigation. At this time, criminality is not believed to be a factor based on information and evidence gathered.
