**** Truro Police Release The Truro Police Service has charged four youths in connection with a stolen vehicle On August 11th, at approximately 7:00am, the Truro Police Service received a complaint regarding a stolen vehicle from a residence in Truro. The initial investigation revealed that four youths from the area had stolen a blue Nissan Versa and fled in an unknown direction. Soon after, the Truro Police Service was notified of an attempted use of a debit card left in the stolen vehicle at a nearby business. Officers of the Criminal Investigation Division reviewed surveillance of this transaction and were able to identify the youths responsible for the theft. At approximately 12:00pm, the stolen vehicle was reported as being located after a crash took place around exit 9 on Highway 101. At this time, all four youths were arrested without further incident, and the stolen vehicle was recovered. The Criminal Investigation Division has charged the four youths with theft of motor vehicle, section 333.1(1)cc. They are set to attend Youth Court on a later date. The youth's identity has been withheld under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
