Truro Police Service received multiple calls regarding a cat in distress which was stuck on a utility pole on Willow Street

On July 7th around 3:15 pm, the Truro Police Service received multiple calls regarding a cat in distress which was stuck on a utility pole on Willow Street.
Officers attended and observed a black cat which was positioned at the top of the pole within the Nova Scotia Power compound. The cat was visibly in need of saving and care.
In cooperation with NS Power, a boom truck attended, and the cat was safely removed by NS Power staff. Officers were then able to quickly take the cat to the SPCA for immediate care.
The Truro Police Service would like to thank all those who assisted resulting in a positive outcome.
