Update: Suspicious death in Antigonish County confirmed to be homicide, Major Crime Unit investigation continues
A suspicious death in West Arm Tracadie has been confirmed to be a homicide. The Southwest Nova Major Crime Unit (SWN MCU) investigation is ongoing.
On May 21, at approximately 7 p.m., Antigonish County District RCMP responded to a report of a deceased 42-year-old man located outside on Arthurs Point Ln. in West Arm Tracadie. The death was considered suspicious and SWN MCU took lead of the investigation.
On May 26, the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service determined that the manner of death was homicide.
Evidence collected to date indicates this was a targeted incident and there’s no risk to public safety.

Unique Allan Shay Toney-MacEachern, wanted on a province-wide warrant, has been arrested.
The 22-year-old man of Eastern Passage is charged with Failing to Comply with a Release Order (three counts) and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order (two counts).
The RCMP thanks members of the public for their support in locating Toney-MacEachern.

Unique Allan Shay Toney-MacEachern wanted on province-wide arrest warrant
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is seeking information on the whereabouts of Unique Allan Shay Toney-MacEachern, who’s currently wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.
Toney-MacEachern, 22, of Eastern Passage, is facing charges of Failing to Comply with a Release Order (three counts) and Failing to Comply with a Probation Order (two counts).
He is described as 5-foot-11, 135 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes.
Police have made several attempts to locate Toney-MacEachern and are requesting assistance from the public.
