RCMP charge Enfield man with assault; multiple weapons seized
RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has charged a man with multiple counts of assault with a weapon following an altercation in Enfield.
On April 18, at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a report that a man had been stabbed at a home on Jonah Dr. after an argument.
Upon arrival, officers located and safely arrested a man outside the residence. A second man was found on the front deck with a stab wound to his shoulder, and a third man was located inside the residence with an injury to his forehead. Both injured men were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A woman was also present at the scene but was not physically injured.
Officers seized a knife, a baseball bat and a hammer.
Jason Alexander Dillman, 40, of Enfield, has been charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon (three counts)
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Forcible Confinement
Dillman appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court on April 20 and remains in custody until his next scheduled court appearance on April 22.
-RCMP arrests two men following traffic stop in Fall River
Two New Brunswick men are facing firearms charges following a traffic stop in Fall River.
On April 17, at approximately 6:30 p.m., an officer with Southeast Traffic Services – Metro conducted a traffic stop on a southbound Audi A4 on Hwy. 102 for having tinted front windows.
While at the vehicle, the officer observed the passenger in possession of a cannabis vape that was being illegally transported, contrary to the Cannabis Control Act.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded handgun, outlaw motorcycle gang (OMG) vests, and a quantity of unstamped tobacco. The driver and passenger were arrested.
The vehicle, firearm, OMG vests, tobacco products, cell phones, and a quantity of cash were seized.
The driver, a 36‑year‑old man, and the passenger, a 32‑year‑old man, both from New Brunswick are facing firearms charges in relation to this incident.
The two were released on conditions and are scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on June 23.
