At 10:47 AM, #hfxfirefighters responded to reports of a structure fire at a multi-unit residential building on Dutch Village Road in Halifax.
Our members from nearby Station 5 (Bayers Road) arrived quickly and encountered advancing fire conditions. Fire fighters rapidly initiated an interior fire attack to bring the situation under control.
Given the multi-unit nature of the building, crews forced entry into adjacent apartments to conduct searches and evacuate residents as a precaution.
One person was treated by EHS paramedics.
