A post was made regarding Dartmouth Cove by One Dartmouth Cove **** Via One Dartmouth Cove 𝐀 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬: We put up No Trespassing signs on our private property last week. These are for our entire property including the trail. The signs were deliberately defaced and vandalized on Saturday. This behaviour is unlawful and has been reported to Halifax Police. This is an unfortunate situation for the public, but HRM has given us no other choice. HRM is stopping us from accessing our property breaking the 20-year-old trail access agreement. That agreement allowed the Harbour Walk Trail to cross our private property in exchange for HRM giving us access to our property. HRM has refused to keep up their end of the agreement. We did not want to do this, but HRM left us with no choice. No trespassing means no access for any person or vehicle on our private property, including the trail, without our permission. HRM broke the agreement. Only HRM can fix it. Please contact your HRM councillor and tell them you want them to live up to the agreement they signed.
