Update - Police Investigate Weapons Call (Shooting) - Dartmouth
At approximately 6:22 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of possible gun shots in the area of Green Road Dartmouth. Multiple officers responded to the scene and located an adult male with life threatening injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. A number of officers are currently on scene, including a Police Service Dog. We ask that people avoid the area.
At 7:40 p.m., RCMP located and arrested a suspect in a vehicle near Flying Cloud Drive and Forrest Hills Parkway. Officers are not looking for any other suspects.
Investigators with the Major Crime Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Unit are conducting the investigation, which is ongoing.
