Update: Chad Sanford, wanted on province-wide warrant, has been arrested
Chad Sanford, who was wanted on a province-wide warrant, has been located and safely arrested.
The 42-year-old man is facing charges of:
- Break and Enter and Committing
- Possession of Stolen Property
- Theft Under $5,000 (four counts)
- Fail to Appear in Court (two counts)
- Breach of Conditional Sentence Order
Sanford is also facing a new charge of Possession of Prohibited Weapon.
The RCMP thanks members of the public for their support in locating Sanford.

January 6, 2026, Windsor, Nova Scotia… West Hants RCMP Detachment is seeking information on the whereabouts of Chad Walter Sanford, who’s wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.
Sanford, 42, is facing the following charges:
- Break and Enter and Committing
- Possession of Stolen Property
- Theft Under $5,000 (four counts)
- Fail to Appear in Court (two counts)
- Breach of Conditional Sentence Order
Sanford is described as 6-foot-2, 265 pounds. He has dark brown hair and hazel eyes.
Police have made several attempts to locate Sanford and are requesting assistance from the public.
