Structure Fire
At 6:38pm on Thursday, January 1st, Halifax Professional Fire Fighters responded to reports of a structure fire in Upper Tantallon. Our members from nearby Station 65 (Upper Tantallon) arrived to find a fully engulfed residential structure. A second alarm was struck to bring additional resources to the scene. The home was a total loss; however, an adjacent detached garage was protected by initial crews and successfully saved. Thankfully, no injuries were reported and everyone was safe and accounted for.
Working Garage Fire
At 2:43pm today, Friday, January 2nd, Halifax Professional Fire Fighters responded to reports of a detached garage fire in the Timberlea–Tantallon area. Station 58 was first on scene and confirmed a working fire, with the initial crew quickly stretching a line to contain the fire and minimize further spread. A total of 11 trucks responded to support fire suppression and scene safety.
