Update: West Hants RCMP charges man for additional sexual offences involving youth
The West Hants RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) has now charged an Ontario man for more than 30 sexual offences involving youth as part of an investigation that began in 2022.
In August 2025, the 29-year-old man appeared in Kentville Provincial Court to face charges of Luring a Child, Indecent Communications and Transmit Sexually Explicit Material to a Child.
The ongoing investigation has now led the West Hants RCMP GIS to charge Sebastien Michael Vienneau of Woodstock with:
- Luring a Child (30 counts)
- Making Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Child (8 counts)
- Indecent Communications (2 counts)
- Making Child Pornography (2 counts)
- Possessing Child Pornography
- Accessing Child Pornography
- Making Child Pornography Available
The charges were laid in Kentville Provincial Court on December 11. The offences involve 30 victims, all of whom were youth at the time.
“This extensive investigation demonstrates a steadfast commitment by investigators to determine the facts of the matter,” says S/Sgt. Ed Nugent, West Hants RCMP. “It involved many units and agencies working toward a common goal of identifying victims and ensuring all appropriate charges would be laid.”
Vienneau is scheduled to appear in Kentville Provincial Court on January 6.
The investigation is continuing; however, no further charges are anticipated at this time.

Richmond County District RCMP is investigating a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian that resulted in serious injuries to the pedestrian.
On December 20, at approximately 5:10 p.m., RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in St. Peter’s. Officers learned a Toyota Camry was travelling westbound on Grenville St. and struck a pedestrian walking on the road.
The pedestrian, a 72-year-old woman from St. Peters, had serious injuries and was transported to hospital.
The driver and lone occupant of the Toyota, a 71-year-old man from L’Ardoise, did not report injuries.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash; the investigation is ongoing.
Grenville St. was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
