Update: Dangulo Thompson, wanted on province-wide warrant, has been arrested
Dangulo Thompson, wanted on a province-wide warrant, has been located and safely arrested.
On December 11, at approximately 7:50 p.m., RCMP officers with the Halifax Regional Detachment Intimate Partner Violence Unit and the Community Action Response Team observed Thompson at a property in Lake Egmont. Thompson fled from police on foot and ran into a wooded area.
With assistance from RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, RCMP Police Dog Services, the RCMP Emergency Response Team and two remotely piloted aircraft systems, Thompson was located and safely taken into custody.
The 49-year-old man from the Halifax Regional Municipality was initially facing charges of Breach of Probation (five counts), Trespassing at Night, Criminal Harassment and Uttering Threats. He is now facing additional charges of:
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm (three counts)
- Trespassing at Night (two counts)
- Criminal Harassment
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (16 counts)
- Breach of Conditional Sentence Order
Thompson appeared in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on December 12 and will remain in custody until his next appearance on December 15.

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment continues to seek information on the whereabouts of Dangulo Thompson, who remains wanted on a province-wide arrest warrant.
Thompson, 49, is believed to be in the Halifax Regional Municipality. He’s facing charges of Breach of Probation (5 counts), Trespassing at Night, Criminal Harassment and Uttering Threats.
Thompson is described as 5-foot-10, 187 pounds. He’s bald with brown eyes.
Police have made several attempts to locate Thompson and are requesting assistance from the public.
