Overnight at approximately 11:15 pm, the Truro Police Service responded to a report of a truck striking a power pole on Willow St / A 23-year-old female has been charged with assault with a weapon and breach of a court order

**** Via Truro Police Traffic Overnight at approximately 11:15 pm, the Truro Police Service responded to a report of a truck striking a power pole on Willow St which resulted in a power outage in the south end When police arrived there was no one in the vehicle which was then seized by police. This same vehicle, a red Dodge Ram pickup truck, was reported shortly before this collision as a possible impaired driver. TPS officers did attempt to stop this vehicle which sped off and our officers disengaged and did not pursue it at that time. Our investigation is continuing and we are looking for any dash cam footage or witnesses to contact us. Please reference file # 2025-1759777. - Police Yesterday morning the Truro Police Service responded to a complaint of a female armed with a knife on Duke St. Patrol officers quickly arrived and safely arrested the suspect. A 23-year-old female has been charged with assault with a weapon and breach of a court order. The accused will appear in Truro Provincial Court at a later date.
