In photos – Gus the mighty gopher tortoise turned 104 today at a special celebration at the Museum of Natural History!
Surrounded by a crowd of well wishers and museum family, the gentle icon received hatchday wishes and treats as the crowd learned a little bit more about the legendary Gus, who has been greeting guests of the museum longer than the staff have been there!
At 104, Gus is believed to be one of the oldest member of his species. We look forward to 105!
A second celebration will be held today at 2pm at the Museum.
