**** Via HRM Residents invited to Halifax Tree Lighting The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to attend the annual Halifax Tree Lighting. This event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Grand Parade. In addition to lighting the Christmas tree, there will be fireworks, a visit from Santa Claus and live music from the Julia Tynes band, PAW Patrol’s Skye & Chase and Gabby’s Dollhouse Dance Party. The TD Dartmouth Christmas Tree Lighting is back Saturday, November 29 from 5-6:30pm at Sullivan’s Pond! From 5-6:15pm, there will be loads of holiday fun for you to enjoy including: a chance to visit with Santa & get free candy canes in the A Buyer’s Choice Home Inspections tent free hot chocolate, treats, and glow sticks at the TD Festive Service tent a holiday activity & free treats at the Findlay Fun tent presented by The Dartmouth Kiwanis Club A Celebration of Christmas musical entertainment presented by the African Nova Scotian Music Association. From 6:15-6:30pm, there will be holiday greetings from the main stage followed by the tree being lit. At 6:30pm you will see the Sullivan’s Pond Holiday Fireworks! After the tree lighting fun concludes, folks are invited to join in a carolling walk to Alderney Landing to visit the Christkindlmarket.
