Each year, thousands of thrill seekers from across Nova Scotia descend on Alderney Landing to experience a brand-new haunted house designed by East Coast Scares—and this year’s creation promises to be the most terrifying yet.

In addition to the Haunted House, the festival features:

  • Escape Room adventure

  • Coffin Ride simulated experience

  • Spiritual Readings from local mediums

  • A free Selfie Park filled with festive Halloween photo opportunities

The Bluenose Ghosts Festival is designed to offer fun for all ages. There is no age limit for the haunted house; however, parental discretion is advised, as every child’s experience is unique.

The festival draws inspiration from the ghost stories and folklore collected by Nova Scotia folklorist Helen Creighton, bringing her legendary tales to life in thrilling new ways.

The Bluenose Ghosts Festival runs on select nights in October at Alderney Landing. Tickets range from $5–$15 and are available for purchase at the door each night.
