Our fishery officers and authorized marine mammal rescue experts are equipped and trained to handle marine animal responses and are authorised to assist stranded marine animals or animals in distress. These situations can become dangerous, and even life threatening. Only authorized personnel can assist when these animals are in distress.
Know your role and help keep yourself and marine mammals safe.
Remember:
✅ Record the date, time, location, species and condition of the animal(s).
✅ Report the sighting to a marine animal response expert.
✅ Keep a minimum distance of 100 meters – it’s the law!
