In photos - The Museum of Natural History held a very special hatchday celebration for a very special resident today, and museum goers were hand to have fun and celebrate with them!

Gus the Gopher Tortoise has called the Museum home for many years now, delighting visitors with his charming personality.

Each August, the museum celebrate his hatchday (aka birthday) with a special hatchday meal, treats for the guests, and by singing to the shelled guest of honour.

At 103, Gus is believed to be one of the oldest member of his species. We look forward to 104!

Happy hatchday, Gus!
