In photos – The heat is on as Camp Courage tackled Police Day 1 in Dartmouth!
The campers had a interactive and educational day as police stepped up for a very involved day 1.
From a public uprising where the campers took to the "streets" to protest the unfair decline of garlic fingers, the PSU were deployed to keep the peace.
The campers, however, had a different plan, and civil unrest ensued. In a safe and controlled manner, the PSU took control and demonstrated how they deploy and work.
A spike strip demo was held, and campers were able to deploy training trips, getting a feel on how they work. Impaired googles shook the campers and mentors as walking, throwing balls and navigating a course kept the wobbly crew on their toes. A defense demo and handcuffs, topped with a tazer demo and a "how was the crime solved" puzzle were some of many activities that kept everyone spinning.
Campers return tomorrow for police day 2!
