In photos - Concerned citizens took to the street to showcase concerns over environmental concerns at the Eisner Cove development site

In 2022, large protests were held voicing concern over a government decision to clear the wetland for affordable housing.

The wetland was widely considered an important urban ecosystem by many who appealed for the construction to be relocated.

That appeal was rejected and construction began.

Todays, with housing installed, construction continues as the area Expands.

Part of the expansion meets with a waterway which has been a focus of concern as heavy silting has been reported multiple times, a concern for many as this heavy silting has been brought to government agencies and the developer which, according to todays protest, has been poorly managed and continues to be an environmental concern.

We attempted to contact the developer, Clayton Developments, regarding the siting but have not received a response.
