**** Event Info The 2025 Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides A National Fundraiser with a powerful purpose. On Sunday, May 25, Pet Valu Quinpool Road will be joining other Pet Valu locations from across the country in the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides. Funds raised during these walks supports the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides (LFCDG) to fulfill their mission to empower Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing Dog Guides at no cost to them and supporting each pair in their journey together. Support from the walk goes toward training and matching life-changing Dog Guides with Canadians who receive them at no cost, which is only possible thanks in large part to the funds raised through this annual event. The Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides takes place across the country, in every province, and is open to all ages and abilities. “Dog Guides has made outstanding contributions and life changing impacts to the lives of thousands of Canadians with disabilities. Each dog guide costs approximately $35,000 to breed, raise, train and place,” says Lina Clarke, Owner Pet Valu Quinpool Road. “We are proud to do our part in organizing and participating in our first city walk to raise funds for such a worthwhile mission of providing service dogs free to Canadians with disabilities.” Everyone and their pups are invited to participate in the Halifax-Quinpool Walk for Dog Guides.
