This beautiful boy is ready for adoption after spending some time in foster care. Loki has asthma and is currently on medication to manage it, though he may need to transition to an inhaler after adoption. He's also on long-term Restoralax to help with constipation and would benefit from a weight-loss diet to support his overall health.

Loki's foster had this to say about him:
This big, beautiful boy is Loki. He's jet black with a tiny tuft of grey on his chest. He's a big ol' love bug ... on his own terms, of course! He loves to climb from the counter to the fridge-top to the top of the cupboards to view his kingdom, but he never bothered any of the food or dishes on the counter. He LOVES soft food like it's going out of style but was limited to ¼ can a day. He'll probably ask for more every time you go to the fridge or cupboard where you keep his food, so stay strong! He's pretty hard to resist!
After about a week of adjusting he'll probably show you acceptance with a short lap-cuddle-test. From that point forward he'll let you know when it's his time for a cuddle and he'll make room no matter what else you might be doing. Or he might just sleep nearby his hooman on the couch. At night time, his preferred bed was an empty laundry basket nearby his hoomans.
He's not a fan of loud noises or the crinkling of plastic bags. He startles easily and would probably be best with older kids or an adult home. He really dislikes closed doors and will paw at them like he's trying to dig through them. You should probably avoid tummy-rubs even if he rolls over or stretches out for you - it's a trap; he might give you a nip.
Loki LOVES to play. He's sneaky, speedy and can jump way higher than you might expect for a big boy! A string on a stick, especially if you run with it, gets him pretty excited. He loves to run, jump and hunt a good string! He has a lot of patience though, so sometimes you feel like you're dangling the string forever before he pounces.
He'll be missed in our home, but now that he's healthy he's ready for his furever family. We hope that you'll love him as much as we did.
