Just a reminder that this Saturday, May 10th, 2025 is World Migratory Bird Day, and we are doing something special at Hope for Wildlife to celebrate it!
And do we have birds to see? Yes! We have kestrels, owls, hawks, and eagles! There's even some pond ducks wandering through occasionally like they own the place. Along with our normal educational tours, the Café Catio and about 30 other awesome animals to visit, we are bringing in bird-loving organizations and experts talk about all things with wings!
The Young Naturalist's Club's Nature Guardians will be there, along with Nature Nova Scotia, Birds Canada, and Butterfly Rangers & Naturalists. There's going to be presentations and lots of information available on helping our wild birds.
Hope's even going to be giving hospital tours!
AND! there's even going to be a birding walk at 1:30PM held by Chris Kennedy from HRM! Bring your binoculars!
It's going to be a fun-filled day for all ages.
