Avoid suspicious links in emails or messages. • Check before you trust. Scammers often pretend to be banks, government agencies or even family members. If there's any doubt about the authenticity of a caller, ask to be called back. • Use strong passwords. Always enable multi-factor authentication for added security. • Keep up to date. Keep your software and security settings up to date. • Report fraud. If something doesn't look right, report it to your local police and to the Canadian Antifraud Centre. And: If it sounds too good to be true, or they’re putting too much pressure on you to send payment, it’s likely a scam. Share these tips and help spread the word.
