DOWNTOWN DARTMOUTH ICE FESTIVAL

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! The Downtown Dartmouth Ice Festival presented by East Coast Credit Union will be back in 2023! Celebrations will be held from January 27th-January 29th. Find more information on the festivities through the webpage linked here. The street party will be the afternoon of Saturday, January 28th from noon-5pm. Portland Street will be closed to motor vehicle traffic from Alderney Drive to Victoria Road from 11am-6pm.
Friday will include an Ice Carving Workshop with renowned ice artist, Richard Chiasson, of New Brunswick-based Création Glace Ltd. There will be live music performances and some ice carving.
Saturday will be filled with live ice carving. There will be ice sculptures along Portland Street, at King's Wharf, on Ochterloney Street and at Alderney Landing. We will have a street party with street games, activities, live music and so much more! In the evening, you will find live music at over a dozen businesses throughout Downtown Dartmouth - the Ice Festival Stages. There will also be fire performances by Luminosity Circus and Lumen Lux at Alderney Landing by the outdoor market area at 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm.
Sunday will provide a quieter chance for folks to head out on the street and see the wonderful ice creations, as well as support our local businesses.
