Lunar Eclipse
On the night of November 7-8, if the sky is clear in your area, you will be able to see a total lunar eclipse. It will be visible in its entirety in western Canada, particularly in British Columbia, Alberta, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. In the east, the Moon will set as the eclipse begins. The Moon will enter the penumbra, the area of partial shadow cast by the Earth, at 3:01 A.M. EST on November 8 (12:01 A.M. PST), and leave it at 8:58 A.M. EST (5:58 A.M. PST).
