**** Halifax SAR Release
On November 3, 2018, Halifax Search and Rescu participated in a large, multi-agency SAR exercise (#SARExHFX) in Halifax Harbour.
Municipal, provincial, and federal volunteer and career SAR agencies responded to a simulated incident to locate 20 people lost on a capsized tour boat.
Full scale multi-agency exercises such as #SARExHFX are critical to #SARPartner's. Learning from the scenario allowed incident preplans to be reviewed and improved. It also fosters inter-agency cooperation and capability awareness of all responding agencies.
As we continue to navigate through COVID, we look forward to working with partners in the future on similar exercises.
